Optics & Apathy
Yesterday I stood in a kitchen (for an hour and a half) talking law suits, commissions, and everything in between with siblings selling an estate. At one point, I tried to leave so they could discuss things among themselves. I invited them to interview other agents, but they wouldn’t let me go. Not in a creepy stalker “you’re not going anywhere” kind of way…but in a “we don’t need another agent - please stay” kind of way.
Nobody agreed, tension was high, and there were uncomfortable moments.
I loved it.
People were being real. They were putting their cards on the table, saying what they felt, and saying it again if it wasn’t fully understood—including me.
